"POLAR VORTEX"

In March of 2021 Brent loaded up the trailer and headed south to Belton, Texas to compete at the Southwest Type Conference. It was the first winter show we have ever participated in and it was a difficult task getting these hogs raised up and conditioned to our standards.

​

Living in Wisconsin, our animals endure all of the extreme weather our four seasons give. Winter here can be especially brutal... with a low of -32, this past season was no exception!

​

Scraping frozen poo, burst waterlines, plowing a walking path to train, hours of walking pigs in negative temps, and the 5+ hours of shaving their winter parkas off once Brent got to a warmer climate... all culminated to him returning home with the Reserve Grand Champion Boar, Premier Sire & Premier Exhibitor awards!!!

All of the above has also led us to the perfect name for this newest Boar Stud we are adding to our line up... "Polar Vortex".
