​Each year we make sure to diversify our genetics and bring in new blood. One of our favorite places to do this is at the Hereford National Show, where all of the top Hereford breeders in the country come to celebrate the breed with a show, dinner, sale, & the annual Hereford Hog Association meeting. Brent took notice of this gilt during the sale... with a diverse genetic lineage, she had a unique build to her with some good size. We were excited to buy her and upon talking to the seller, learn she took Grand Champion Gilt at her local county fair as well! We call her Maple and she has been an amazing producer for our farm in the short year she has been here.

2022 Breed Pairing: January Litter To Polar Vortex

This one goes way back and is one of our first big wins on a National level, earning Grand Champion Bred Gilt at the 2018 Hereford National Show.

Stacked Girl is full of power with massive shoulders and a stocky stature. She has a natural knack for farrowing and weaning and has been one of the best moms!

​

Her summer 2021 litter to Cheesehead is currently tearing up the southern circuit showrings!

A litter-mate to both the 2019 Hereford Nationals Grand Champion Boar & the 2019 Hereford Nationals Best Marked (Gilt)... we retained this one and her sister Charlotte as breeding stock for the future of our program. Both have excellent body structure and movement. Thrilled to be expecting Amber's first litter to Goshen in late March of 2020!

A true "Diamond In The Rough"... this little lady caught Brent's eye at the 2020 Hereford National show. We had been wanting to add some of Chris Lanham's genetics and this one just kind of stood out. ​

​

We brought her back to Wisconsin and bred her to "Cheesehead" for spring of 2021... and the litter was absolutely NOTHING short of AMAZING!!! In fact, it produced our multiple title earning boar... "Laissez-faire"

The matchup was so impressive we repeated the exact pairing in summer of 2021, which those offspring are currently lighting the show rings on fire in the south!

Another Hereford Nationals find, this one definitely commands your attention as she goes by. In fact we had her named in the sale ring before she was even officially ours! 

​

With lots of genetic diversity behind her, Cindy was especially excited to bring this one back as her Maternal Grandmother is the same sow who produced her sentimental all time favorite female, "Mollie".

​

We are very excited to have this one in our herd and look forward to what she can do for our program and the breed as a whole in the future!!!

The Hereford Nationals Show & Sale is our favorite annual event to attend with our pigs. We always end up finding different genetic lines to bring back and add to our breeding program.

Cindy selected this trendy female who comes from Clint High Farms in Ohio. She has muscle and bone in all the right places with a sweet personality to boot! Her confirmation and structure are powerful and commanded our attention in both the show and sale.

​

The genetics behind her are sure to produce, in fact her littermate sister earned Grand Champion gilt at the National Barrow Show in Austin, Minnesota at the end of the 2021 season... hence her name!

This beautiful female was brought to our farm in the fall of 2021, as her family in Missouri wanted to find a good home that would appreciate and use her... as their daughter was leaving for college.

Reece earned 1st in class and 3rd Overall Hereford Gilt at Missouri State Fair, with her littermates earning FFA Grand Champion Barrow & FFA Reserve Boar.

​

We are very honored and humbled to be chosen as a safe place for this wonderful girl and look forward to the diversity she brings to our farm and breeding program.

This year Brent selected this beauty out of Clint High Farms. She has BONE... plain and simple. We plan to utilize this and can't wait to see what she throws!

The 2018 Wisconsin State Fair Reserve Grand Champion...

American Girl is a 2018 February gilt, daughter of "Sunshine & Tank".

 

Part of an AMAZING litter, her sister is the 2018 Wisconsin State Fair Grand Champion Gilt and her brother took Reserve Grand Champion Boar! Other litter mates won banners around the country as well!!!

​

As of recent, American Girl produced the 2020 Hereford Nationals Grand Champion Boar and has consistently thrown 14+ size litters every breeding! She is a huge asset to our program!!!

Evelyn's 2020 Show Gilt & one of our herd sweethearts... "Twister" is a model representative of this breed we are so passionate about. 

​

She is the product of our 2018 Wisconsin State Fair Grand Champion Gilt, "007" bred to our 2019 Herford Nationals Grand Champion Boar, "He-Man".

 

The entire litter was top quality with several going to show and breeding homes, including her sister who went on to earn the 3rd Overall Hereford Gilt Title at OYLE... the Ohio State Fair Replacement Show.

Her fantastic markings, bone, and just overall genetic make-up, definitely make "Twister" a huge asset to our breeding program!

A 2020 purchase from the Hereford National Show Sale, this little bulldog of a female has a look all her own. 

​

Our daughter Cassidy formed a special bond with "Megan" when she came home with us and she even took her to the National Barrow show as her showmanship pig in late season.

​

Her genetic background combines some of our favorite lines and we cannot wait to get some babies out of this one!!!

This gorgeous gal came out of Cindy's favorite herd sow and He-Man's momma, "Maple".

 

From birth, this one caught our eye as something special... and so we sent her south to a wonderful show family in Ohio for the 2021 Spring/Summer season.

She earned several jackpot banners during her time in the show rings and has since come home and matured into a little clone of her mom!!!

​

We are holding this one back to grow a bit more, and are looking forward to babies in the future!!!

Tanner's 2021 show gilt was selected out from the litter of his 2019 show gilt "Sneaky" bred to "Boris"... a "He-Man" son who is a boar stud at Shipley's.

Affectionately named after his vintage 1978 John Deere Spitfire snowmobile, she lives up to her name with her spunky personality.

​

Tanner & Spitfire earned the Reserve Champion Gilt Banner at a jackpot show in spring of 2021and she finished 2nd in class at Wisconsin State Fair.

The 2019 Wisconsin State Fair Grand Champion Gilt...

This one is a record breaker... she won the 2019 Wisconsin State Fair Open Gilt as a MARCH by the youngest exhibitor EVER, our 3 year-old Cassidy!!!

 

She additionally went on to STC in 2020 to earn Grand Champion Bred Gilt!

 

Elena is stout, big boned, and a smooth mover. We look forward to what she can offer our breeding program for generations to come.

Another one of our Hereford Nationals "finds", this one goes genetically back to "Never Say Never"... the Top Selling 50K Hereford Boar.

​

Brent felt that she did not finish where she deserved at that particular show, and so he brought her home but held back on breeding her. We let her grow and mature... and then bred her to "Cheesehead" for summer of 2021... and to compete at STC as a Bred Gilt, where she earned the Champion Bred Gilt Banner!!!

​

The offspring of that litter were very high caliber and are currently competing and hanging banners of there own in the south winter circuits!

Evelyn's 2021 show gilt, "Scorpion" was named in honor of her 1974 vintage Stinger 3 red snowmobile.

This female caught our eye from the time we farrowed her... with a very feminine skeleton, yet massive bone and power behind her.

​

Scorpion earned the Wisconsin State Fair Reserve Champion Gilt and was first in class at the Hereford National Show.

Cindy is always a sucker for the gilts coming out of DKJ Genetics program... and the 2021 Hereford National Show Sale led to another one coming home with us.

Lucy was born in summer of 2020 and is a full sibling to our 2020 Hereford Nationals Grand Champion Boar "Cocky Rocky".

​

We raised her up over winter here in Wisconsin, which was less than ideal to say the least. She made the trip to show in Belton, Texas in Spring of 2021 at the Southwest Type Conference.

​

We then brought her home and let her grow more as we knew she did not get recognized the way she deserved.

​

She made the trip with us to the 2021 Hereford National Show and earned Reserve Champion Bred Gilt!!!
